At Wellspring Health Access, we believe that young people should be able to make decisions about their own bodies and lives. However, current Wyoming law requires that people under 18 who want an abortion get written consent from a parent or legal guardian. The law also requires us to tell your parent/guardian about your decision to have an abortion at least 24 hours before your appointment.
If you cannot or do not want to involve a parent/guardian, you can ask a court for a judicial bypass. This is a legal process that lets you ask a judge for permission to make your own decision about seeking an abortion.
