Founded in 2021, Wellspring Health Access is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that’s expanding access to reproductive healthcare services to people in underserved communities. We are a team of dedicated and committed people working to protect people’s right to healthcare and abortion services.

We are looking for a detail oriented, dynamic individual with grant writing skills.  You will develop your strategy and timelines, work closely with the Executive Team, and work independently and remotely with the option of working in-person in our Colorado office.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assemble grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations
  • Researches, identifies and cultivates new sources of funding. 
  • Assists with and oversees gathering information and writing interim and final reports to funding sources and other constituencies. 
  • Monitors new grant-making activity and changing developments in the community of institutional donors. 
  • Establish and maintain current information, contact, and relationships with foundation/corporate representatives and program officers
  • Maintain grant calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports (other reporting and management documents as required)
  • Work with the team members to conduct prospect research – and prepare prospect reports
  • Prioritize projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for proposals
  • Work with other members team to provide current program data, statistics and local statistics for grant content
  • Maintain and provide timely reporting data for all grants (progress reports, year-end, financial reporting, data collection from programs, and special reports as required)
  • Proofread funding documents


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in philanthropic fundraising. 
  • Ability to strategically and effectively build relationships and partnerships with foundations, corporations, and entities who can be supportive of our organization.
  • Ability to articulate and support the mission of Wellspring Health Access
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Proficient in Google Suites, MS Office Suite, and CRM
  • Ability to meet multiple, concurrent deadlines under pressure
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work appropriately and adapt easily to changing priorities. 
  • Ability to effectively present our program information and respond to questions from funders and potential donors
  • Demonstrated leadership in teamwork, particularly on distributed, remote and /or matrixed teams
  • Participate in weekly team calls and monthly team meetings
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment
